Byron Bay

Along the way to Surfer's Paradise we made a stop in Byron Bay to check out the famous lighthouse and wander around the town. I stayed here a few weeks ago with my surf camp but didn't have my camera. We were only here for a few hours but its a nice little beach town with a population cap of 9000 people. They don't allow big name companies like Mcdonalds to open shop there and they aren't allowing any more homes to be built. They want it to remain a small town for tourists. It has a very hippie vibe, it's a really cool place!

The famous Byron Lighthouse, the most Eastern point of Australia

The coast, we spotted a pod of dolphins here!
